A memoir of pediatric nuclear medicine: Part III: finding a place for nuclear medicine.

چکیده

A major impediment to the utilization of pediatric nuclear medicine techniques occurred in the mid1970s with the introduction of competitive imaging technologies such as CT and ultrasound. Although the early versions of these technologies were somewhat primitive, the use of these modalities increased with technological advances, innovative upgrades, and newer devices. My personal experiences in practice, research, and teaching in nuclear medicine spanned31/2decades. Iwould remindreaders that any memoir is merely one individual’s viewpoint on complex and multifaceted events that might be recounted differently by others. I also want to express my gratitude to all the individuals whose collegial contributions are recognized or inadvertently omitted in this account.

This was especia...
